Participant registration, data usage, and legal agreement for Skyrunning Association of India

1. Participant Information

By registering as a participant with Skyrunning Association of India (SAI), you agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date personal information including but not limited to your full name, date of birth, contact details, address, and government-issued identification documents.

You acknowledge that any false or misleading information may result in the rejection of your registration, revocation of your participant license, or disqualification from events.

2. Document Submission & Consent

You agree to upload and submit the following documents as part of the registration process:

Government-issued ID card (e.g., Aadhaar, Passport, Driver's License)
Date of Birth proof
Parent/Guardian No Objection Certificate (NOC) — required for minors
Medical history / health declaration
Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
Incident responsibility / waiver of liability
Passport-size photograph

           Data Consent: By submitting these documents, you expressly consent to Skyrunning Association of India collecting, storing, processing, and sharing your personal information and documents for the purposes of registration, identity verification, event participation, medical emergency response, and official record-keeping. Your data will be handled securely and will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or for event-related operational purposes.
        

3. Participant License & Verification

Upon successful verification of your documents and identity, SAI will issue a participant license with a unique ID (SAI-YYYY-NNNN format) and a QR-enabled ID card.

The license is valid for the period specified by the association at the time of verification. After the expiry date, the license automatically expires and must be renewed. SAI reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or revoke a participant license at its sole discretion.

The QR code on the ID card links to a public verification page. Scanning the QR code will display your participant status (verified, pending, or expired) and basic profile information.

4. Event Registration & Fees

Registration for specific events is separate from obtaining a participant license. Event registrations are subject to availability, payment of applicable fees, and acceptance by SAI.

All fees paid for event registration are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by SAI. In case of cancellation, SAI will determine the refund policy on a case-by-case basis.

5. Medical Disclaimer & Waiver

Participation in skyrunning events involves inherent risks including but not limited to high altitude, extreme weather, rugged terrain, physical exertion, and potential injury or death. By registering, you acknowledge and assume these risks.

You confirm that you are physically fit and have no known medical conditions that would prevent safe participation. You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Skyrunning Association of India, its officers, volunteers, sponsors, and event organizers from any liability for injury, loss, or damage incurred during participation.

6. Data Protection & Privacy

SAI implements reasonable security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is stored on secure servers and accessed only by authorized personnel.

You have the right to request access to your personal data, request corrections, or request deletion of your account (subject to legal and operational retention requirements). To exercise these rights, contact us at the details provided below.

7. General Provisions

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

SAI reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Participants will be notified of material changes via the registered email address. Continued participation after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
